Pal Interieur (formerly know as "Van der Pal Interieurbouw) in Alkmaar is a fast growing producer in various segments of kitchen and cupboard market. Pal Interieur is highly automated on sales and design side, but even more so in the production process. Pal Interieur has multiple subsidiaries and a network of dealers and agents. Pal Interieur designs, produces and installs. For the production, they have state of the art CNC machinery available like Systraplan for storage of materials, Biesse Skipper and Router, IMA edgebander and a Schelling beamsaw. Pal Interior uses a wide spectrum of materials ranging from Melamine Faced Chipboard to vineer and solid wood.

Challenge

Many of the premium customers and projects are located outside the Netherlands in countries and areas like the Carribic, USA and Portugal. Design and production is done on geographically different (multiple) locations.

Especially large hospitality projects have relatively small time slots for assembly and large volumes of products like appartement kitchens and robust wardrobes. Voluminous cargo thus means large shipping costs.

Moreover, due to heavy fluctuations in orders caused by rescheduled projects, a flexible planning is a must.

They are able to release designs which can be easily picked up by the production planner and various manufacturing sites.
