We see that employees with the Ivenza pick application sometimes pick the wrong quantity of accessories (btw ivenza calculates the required numbes right). Are there ways to pick the right number of items?

At other customer sites weight scales are used for example to weigh the right number of screws. For small parts this is a great solution. For large and / or heavy products it is unfortunately no solution. Sorry.

I need an extra contour in Woodwop for positionering the vacuum clamps on my HOMAG CNC-center. We use a laserprojection system for positioning. The contour should not be milled because the Holzma cutter does that. Is this possible?

Ok, that means in the MPR program a milling contour must be included and the router should NOT process the contour? It therefore only serves to create a projection with such a SL-Laser or Z-Laser projection system? If your answer is yes, then it can be done. Ivenza writes in that case an additional -non-executable- contour in the CNC program.

I have uploaded the new configuration rules and materials for the designer by accident. These settings should take effect the next month in the outlets. How can I reverse this?

That's not difficult. Just upload the previous version of the file with the AddOn tool. Version control and the log will show what has changed compared to the previous version. I assume you upload directly to the production environment and do not work through staging?

I have some speed issues connecting to Ivenza from the US. My internet connection is okay (tested!).

Thanks for the speedtest results. This is really helpful. It seems that we have some latency/round-trip issues between your location and the Dutch datacentre where our demo showcase is running. We have given you access to a New York-located Ivenza server by PM. Your account should be up and running at full speed. If not, please get back to me.

We have a maintenance window of 4 hours on the BizTalk environment. Can the Ivenza interfaces temporarily be stopped?

Yes that's possible. The messages intended for AX are temporarily buffered by Ivenza. If you turn on those interfaces and webservices again, all buffered events are processed at once. You will see that the order messages, completed notification messages, reschedule messages etc will be delivered to BizTalk.

Lightningstroke at Biesse Rover. I can continue to produce the on Masterwood?

Yes, that's just fine. You have to move the skid or pallet with the panels from the Biesse to the Masterwood. Scanning the barcodes at the Masterwood CNC-router will generate the right TLF program for each panel instead of the CIX program.

The general rule is that the Ivenza JobShop will generate the proper CNC-instructions for the machine the scanner is connected to.

Good luck!

Ivenza has no access to Navision which leads to Tomcat crash.

First, we must know why Ivenza cannot gain access to Dynamics NAV. Then we have to create a workaround/test to ensure that when this problem arises, Tomcat doesn't crash. We can only control the Ivenza side of the interface to Navision. We will follow up on this one.

Thumbnail of a single item or configured product is not visible in shopping cart?

You're right. Would be a nice addition, and more specifically in stock articles that are ordered, ie commodity articles. We will come up with something with the next update.

Not all panel thicknesses in wizard are show on screen?

Wow, 60 different panel thicknesses is a lot. I see panel thicknesses from 1 to 60 mm are stored, and only 20 to 40 or so are visible on the screen. Just add a ScrollPane? Or multiple columns? What do you think is the best solution that works for you?

Edgeband on double internal wall not consistent?

Indeed. One panel does get special marked edgeband, but the other panel gets the default edgeband. This may not happen en will be resolved.

Can I place my legs standard as a function of the cabinet (as opposed to a function of the bottom panel)?

At this moment legs are always positioned relative to the bottom. This means that legs can not be positioned under the side walls and the exact position depends on the construction. Preferable, the user should be able to choose legs and Ivenza must places the legs at the 'right' location. At eg. fixed locations relative to the corners, under walls, etc .. We will put this on the feature request list.

POV-Ray scenes and rendered images send over instead of NFS share?

When using an NFS share, all kinds of race conditions may occur, especially when web application and renderer application run on different VMs.

How to avoid collisions between shelf connector and drawer runner?

Drawer runners overlap with shelf connectors when the drawer is located directly above the shelf. This may be solved by setting the Blum and Grass-drawer systems 'extra height' parameter at 1 to 2 mm.

Error messages on collisions with connectors are 'by design' only given when you run the button 'Production simulation' inside the appropriate configurator.

Please also collision detection and avoidance behavior for suspension systems?

It is possible to add a suspension system on both sides of an partitioning wall on the back wall. The holes for hardware for this are drilled in the partition. In the case of, for example, an Indaux Traser 6 is the hole (and the hardware itself) deeper than half the sheet thickness (from 18 mm sheets). In order to be able to place the hardware without conflicts, one of suspension parts must be shifted, as is the case with connectors. Noted and we pick it up.

Replicating a PI gives an error, but seems to work?

Yeah right, we can see that a copy is made of the Production Item and that there is an error. We have to check the logs.

Specific edgeband height is missing on the Bill of Materials

At the moment only the requirements of the length and edgeband materials (as opposed to edgeband stock article) are seen. Not the edgeband and its item number. When using different heights of the same edgeband, it is indeed worthwhile to see how many meters of the exact edgeband stock article is required. We put it on the feature request list.

Thanks.

Does Ivenza support the milling cutter on a SCM Cyflex?

Yes no problem when the machine configuration is filled in correctly.

Adding a button for printing item labels for third party parts / purchased parts?

When you print the PI labels for the other panels during cutting, you will end up without labels for your purchase panels. At this moment you'll have to take the route through Factory> Label printer> Print production item. But a special button for purchased panels would be helpful. Indeed good point.

2D / 3D View is reset in configurator at the opening of a cabinet (by double-click)

This is because the double-click, for opening a design, is also handled by the camera control.

Door hinge potentially overlaps with position of a flexible shelf?

You're right. We can see that the mounting plate of the hinge makes a collision with one of the holes of the free shelf. We are going to refine the collision detection for this scenario.

Troubles when using the second workfield/area on the Masterwood. How come?

This is what we observe: the error does not occur when working with one field. When using the second work area and clamping a panel, the CNC head stops after the 1st CNC-program.

We must construct a few scenarios to test whether it is at the TLF- or ISO level or the mw31 application level. Can you schedule some time for executing these scenarios for us?

Shelve holes in rear panel positioned outside the rear panel?

Strange. W'll dive into this.

Production order is signalling status COMPLETE while some parts are still on status ASSIGNED?

True, we can reproduce that mistake ourselves. Reporting COMPLETE may indeed happen only if all the parts are produced or picked. We will look into it. W'll be in touch.

Why does the SCM Cyflex hitting the clamps?

No idea. The xylog program that is generated by Ivenza is put directly in the worklist of the Cyflex. We actually expect the Cyflex itself to detect and show that the clamps are touched. The Cyflex controller would have to intervene or stop running the program or move the clamps as controllors do in the Skipper and BHX.

Do you support the new Biesse Rover CNC (bSolid software and CIX format)?

Yes, no problem (and we will support the existing BPP- en de XNC-formats :-) ).

Can I report what CNC tools have been used in the Ivenza generated CNC programs to produce the order?

No, there is no overview spanning several programs. However, you can open up the web pages, click on each part and inspect the actual CNC program and see which tools Ivenza has selected. This information appears in a separate comment section that summarizes the assigned CNC-tools. It does not matter whether you use MPR files are Homag / Weeke, or FMC-files of IMA or eg. CIX / BPP files from Biesse.
